After a long absence, plus some homonyms

I am still thinking, of course - may I never stop thinking!! Except at night when I'm trying to sleep.

No, I've just been away from Blogger...I forget about it sometimes. A lot of the time, actually. But now I am on. And since I am on, I will write one of the things that has been in my brain recently.

----------------------------------------------------
"Accept" vs. "Except"

These two words are pronounced exactly the same - in English, we call that a homonym ("homo" same + "nym" name). But they don't mean the same thing.

"Accept" - to take or receive; to agree or consent to; etc.
   "I accept your offer gratefully."

"Except" - with the exclusion of
"Use all of the pencils except the red one."

When you come to writing down a sentence with one of these words, pause for a minute to figure out the correct one - please.
